Choose the larger. A ring that’s slightly loose is comfortable; one that’s slightly tight won’t pass your knuckle.

Do wide rings fit differently?

Yes. The wide signets, the Medallion, the Cartouche and the Crest, sit snugger than a fine band. If you’re between sizes, choose the larger.

When is the best time to measure?

At the end of the day, when your hands are warm. Fingers are smaller in the morning and in the cold.

What size is the Toi et Moi?

It adjusts: it sits at about US 7 and opens gently to about US 10 to 11.

How do I find my ring size?

Short answer

Measure across the inside of a ring that already fits, or around your finger with a strip of paper, then find it in the chart below or type it into the converter. Our rings come in whole US sizes, from US 4 to 15 depending on the ring, and the Toi et Moi adjusts. If you’re between sizes, choose the larger.

With a ring that fits

Choose a ring you wear on the same finger.
Lay it on a ruler and measure straight across the inside, edge to edge, in millimetres.
Find that inside diameter in the chart below, or type it into the converter above.

With a strip of paper or string

Cut a thin strip of paper, or use a piece of string that doesn’t stretch.
Wrap it around the base of your finger, snug but not tight, and mark where it overlaps.
Lay it flat on a ruler and measure to the mark in millimetres: that’s the distance around your finger.
Check a ring that size would still slide over your knuckle.

With our printable sizer

Print the ring sizer (PDF) on A4 at 100%, or “actual size”: never “fit to page”.

Before you use it, measure the bar marked 50 mm with a ruler. If it isn’t exactly 50 mm, your printer has resized the page, and the sizes won’t be right.

Lay a ring that fits over the circles and find the one that meets its inside edge, or cut out the strip and wrap it around your finger.

It has to pass your knuckle. If your knuckle is much wider than the base of your finger, size for the knuckle.
