Privacy

The short version

We collect what we need to make and post your piece, and nothing else. We don’t sell your data. We never see your card number.

What we collect

When you add a ring to your bag, we store the photo of the mark you chose, exactly as you sent it, in private storage, with your choices (the ring, finish and size, the words and font, and any notes). When you order, Shopify collects your name, email, delivery address, and payment. Your card number never reaches us.

When you write to us, by email or the contact form, we keep that correspondence so we can continue it. When you leave a review, we collect your rating, your words, your first name and suburb, and we publish them only if you tick the box that says we may.

What we use it for

We use your photo to make and post your piece. We never sell it. Your order details are used to engrave and post it, to answer questions about the order, and to meet tax and record-keeping obligations.

Who else touches it

Shopify hosts the checkout and processes payments. Vercel hosts this site and the file uploads. Australia Post receives a name and delivery address so your piece can reach you. Our email provider stores messages we send and receive.

We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information.

Your order and your proof

When you order, we keep a record for your proof: your first name and email, the pieces and what you chose for them, the proofs we make, and anything you tell us about them. We use it to send your proof, hear your answer, and make and post your piece.

Email us if you’d like it deleted: we’ll delete the record, the proofs and the private links to your order, and will say if a legal obligation means we still have to keep a record.

How long we keep files

We keep your original untouched. We delete it 90 days after delivery, unless you ask us to keep it for reorders: tick the box when you add the photo, or reply to any order email.

If you remove a piece from your bag before you order it, its photo is deleted from our storage too (within two days, if you had started checkout with it). Once you order a piece, its photo stays with your order and is kept as above. Email us if you want a file deleted sooner; we will say if a legal obligation means we still have to keep a record.
